Hayes Psychotherapy

Well, here you are.
Not just on this website but also at this moment in your life.

Whatever it is that brings you here, and to the conclusion that it’s time to talk to someone, I’m grateful for your openness, willingness, and courage.

The ‘you’ that is here is processing your current life experiences and challenges through the lens of the people, environments, and experiences that have shaped you into the human you are right now. I like to describe this as ‘our past shows up in our present’.

I believe it’s important to understand how we are shaped in order to meaningfully connect with the things that we value. This process productively leads my clients towards the kinds of choices that will help you live a life that is more in line with who you want to be.

In therapy/counselling speak, my psychotherapeutic approach combines Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Attachment Theory with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (also known as ACT) to give us a deeper understanding of your core beliefs, who and where they come from, why they are important to you and how to confidently make the kinds of choices that will help you productively move forward in life.
